Third Quarter Submission

This updated cover includes just two small adaptions,  including the movement of the title and subtitle back to the top left corner, as opposed to the center, where I had moved it for my post entitled "Updated Cover." I determined that it was the best decision to keep the original location, where it is still blatant to any viewer, although it does not look as if it is an ordinary magazine. Hopefully, by having my title in a somewhat abnormal and unexpected place, attention will be drawn to Get Schooled. I also moved, once again, the "Application Season Issue" subtitle. This time, I moved it closer to my white text that describes the content of my magazine in order to draw all attention, besides the title and focal point of my photo, down to the bridge. I felt my cover text was too spread out and busy when I included that line of text in the water, or in the top left corner. These are two changes that perfect the neat, appealing, and professional cover of my magazine to make it appear just as I planned it would.
I updated my table of contents quite substantially. I felt it was necessary to encase more photos of what will be included throughout my magazine, so I added several more photos from my multiple photoshoots. This decision was also made in order to create a more organized and neat table of contents, since it is the main outline of my product, therefore making it extraordinarily important to the overall impression of Get Schooled. Two of the photos on the top and bottom left side are from the same shoot as my cover photo. When I was in Boston for the Head of the Charles Regatta, I took the opportunity to take some scenic photos including the top photo of a field of rowing shells owned by the participating teams, and the bottom photo that showcases a team of eight rowers taking part in the race on the Charles River. The middle photos are from a photoshoot I have previously mentioned in multiple blog posts with student-athlete and Model UN participant Marguerite Andrich, as well as the honor-student star of a Florida high school's theater program, Keara Escobedo. The top right photo is of Charles Karcher, the subject of my two page article, and the bottom right photo is from a college fair. The top primary photo on this page is from the same event. In addition to adding more photos, I added the corresponding page numbers in order to make the readers who are interested in a specific photo have easy access to the page number so they can flip there immediately. This was a decision made in regard to convenience and the important of convenience to the readers. I also added my advertisement for my website in the bottom left corner in order to make my magazine more realistic and to incorporate the online media aspect of the magazine industry.
I did not change anything regarding my two-page article from my updated version other than adding my website to the bottom left of each page in order to further incorporate the online magazine media industry, since after researching the importance of media and technology in the creation of a magazine I have realized how integral it is to the production of my product.
